The Athens-Clarke County Board of Elections says testing of voting machines that will be used in November elections in Athens and Winterville—testing that was to have started last week—is on hold, postponed til further notice because of delays in receiving election data from the Secretary of State’s Office. Athens-Clarke County voters have a special election on November 7 to fill the Clerk of Court’s Office, while voters in Winterville have a City Council contest to decide. Early voting is set to start on October 16.
