Athens-Clarke County Commissioners could vote tonight to impose a moratorium on short-term rentals in neighborhoods that are zoned for single-family residences. The proposal is on the agenda for a special called meeting that is set for 6 o’clock at City Hall.
Commissioners will also meet for an agenda setting session, also at City Hall, with the County’s affordable housing strategy again up for discussion. Commissioners, originally scheduled to vote on the affordable housing plan earlier this month, are now expected to vote on whether to adopt the strategy in their next voting session on October 3.
