Ozzie Albies has been one of the cornerstone pieces to the Atlanta Braves rebuild and back-to-back National League East titles. Albies has put up historic numbers, across all statistical platforms, for a second baseman and has already established himself as one of the most elite second basemen in the MLB, at the age of 22.
Throughout his first few seasons, Albies has accumulated a 10.3 bWAR, which is the second-most in MLB history for a second baseman, prior to turning 23, only trailing Hall of Famer, Roberto Alomar.
Albies is tied for the most hits (187) in the National League this season, which is the fourth-most hits by second baseman in Braves franchise history and the most since Rogers Hornsby had 188 hits for the Boston Braves in 1928. He also leads the NL in doubles (43), which is the third-most doubles for a second baseman in Braves franchise history.

Albies is the second second baseman in MLB history to have multiple seasons with at least 100 runs, 40 doubles, 20 home runs and five triples. No other second baseman has ever reached those totals before turning 25... at the age of 22, Albies has now reached those totals twice. Rogers Hornsby is the only other second baseman to ever record multiple seasons with those totals.
