Celebrate Georgia Beer Day at 50 breweries around the state

Georgia Beer Day (Georgia Craft Brewers Guild)

What’s your favorite Georgia beer? Creature Comforts’ Tropicalia and SweetWater’s 420 Extra Pale Ale routinely rank at the top of the list when it comes to beers brewed in Georgia. But that’s just the start of the list. Dozens of Georgia craft breweries create hundreds of local beers every year.

On March 6, those beers and breweries will be celebrated as part of Georgia Beer Day.

In conjunction with the celebration, 50 Georgia breweries will offer a limited edition collector’s pint glass. The glass features the Cherokee Rose (state flower), Southern Live Oak (state tree), Honeybee (state insect) and the Brown Thrasher (state bird) as the centerpiece. One dollar from each glass sold will benefit the Georgia Craft Breweries Guild to help promote and aid its members and the state’s brewing industry.

“The Georgia Craft Brewers Guild serves as the voice for the growing Craft Beer Industry in Georgia,” the Georgia Craft Brewers Guild notes on its website. “We serve our members through advocacy, education and awareness. We promote independent, Georgia brewed, local craft beer.”
