The body of a drowning victim recovered from Lake Hartwell has been identified. The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office says 47 year-old Jason Bass was from Rising Star Texas. Bass drowned over the weekend. Divers from South Carolina found the body near Gumlog Cove.
Witnesses say Bass disappeared into the lake after diving in to retrieve a kayak.
